This time of year it's not always easy to eat healthy. Food is all around and it's mighty tasty. Listen to this week's show to hear tips about keeping your eyes in check with your stomach for Thanksgiving. Remember to take it easy with the serving sizes. Overstuffing yourself will not only make you feel sluggish but could make you gain weight and keep you from getting exercise because you won't feel like getting off the couch.

Kick the Can...Fun for All Seasons

With the weather getting cold, it can be tempting to just stay inside and watch TV, play video games or get on the computer. But instead, why not throw on a jacket, find some family or friends, and head outside for a game of kick the can. It's easy to play and the benefits include exercise. Here's how you play: You place a can where everyone can see it. One person is the finder. Everyone else hides. The finder has to try and catch all the hiders. If he does, he wins. When a person gets caught, they have to stand in a spot. But if a hider runs up and kicks the can before the finder gets to them, all the caught players are freed and the finder has to start all over again. You'll enjoy this game and the exercise will keep you from getting too cold. Write in and tell us about your favorite cold weather game.

You can ask Scholastic's kid reporters questions too. It's just one way you can become involved before you're even old enough to vote.

A safe site to check out is Kaboose. They've compiled a group of fun and entertaining Halloween games you can play right on your computer. In addition to the games, you can find spooky crafts to make for scaring, or delighting, the trick-or-treaters that visit your home. Get busy, there's not much time left.

Teeth Care or Holiday Scare

Halloween is obviously a holiday that can wreak havoc on your teeth. All the sugar and sticky stuff in candy that you'll probably be eating can get in your teeth and cause decay. It's always important to brush, but even more so when you're putting food in your mouth that you know can cause problems. If you're eating a lot of sugary, sticky treats, take the time to take care of your mouth and brush after every meal. You should be brushing at least twice each day no matter what time of year it is. Make sure you get all your teeth, as well as your tongue. And don't forget to floss.

October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month. KidsCast spoke with online safety experts Tracey Mooney and Parry Aftab about what kids should know about spending time online. Here are some tips:

Don't share personal information, like your passwords, even with your friends.
If you feel uncomfortable, log off.
Yahooligans! is a safe sight to help you search.
Ask your parents and teachers if specific websites are safe.
Encourage your friends to avoid dangerous websites.
Talk to your parents about it if someone is bothering you online.
Stop, Block and Tell.
