School is a place where you should be able to feel safe and secure. But sometimes you may hear something that feels threatening to you or someone you know at school. The Power of Words

Did you know it takes many positive comments for someone to recover from one negative comment? That's because words can hurt. And sometimes even when you're just joking you can end up hurting someone you care about's feelings. January 25th through 29th is No Name Calling Week. Take some time to think about what you say and how it would make you feel if someone said it to you. If you're on the receieving end of name calling, know that you don't have to listen to it and you can ask for help.
